The Vivo Y31s (t1 version) has launched in China. At the beginning of this year, Vivo announced the Vivo Y31s 5G in China as the world’s first phone with the Snapdragon 480 SoC. A few months later, the Vivo Y31s Standard Edition featuring the Dimensity 700 chip was introduced. The Vivo Y31s (t1 version) that has gone official in China is a toned-down version of the Y31s Standard Edition.
The Vivo V31s (t1 version) is yet another affordable 5G phone for the brand’s home market. It features a large-sized display and a big battery.
Vivo Y31s (t1 version) specifications and features
The Vivo Y31s (t1 version) has a 6.51-inch IPS LCD panel with a teardrop notch, which offers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. According to Vivo, the phone offers an 89 percent screen-to-body ratio. Apart from face unlock for security, the Y31s (t1 version) features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Y31s is powered by the Dimensity 700 chip and 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The device comes with support for 0.5GB of virtual RAM. It is packed with 64GB of UFS 2.1 storage and a dedicated microSD card slot. The device runs OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11.
For selfies, the handset is fitted with an 8-megapixel front camera, and its rear panel has a single 13-megapixel camera with an LED flash. Both cameras offer features like night scene mode, portrait mode, and panorama. The rear camera also supports autofocus and 1080p video recording.
The Vivo Y31s (t1 version) has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. For connectivity, the Y31s (t1 version) offers functions like dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
In comparison, the Vivo Y31s Standard Edition is equipped with 6GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera, and it comes in different hues. The rest of its specs are identical on both phones.
Vivo Y31s (t1 version) pricing and availability
The Vivo Y31s (t1 version) is priced at RMB 1,399 (~Rs 16,000) and it comes in two colours like Lake Light Blue and Titanium Gray. It is unclear the company has any plans to launch the t1 version or its Standard Edition in India.
