Vivo had launched a new smartphone in its Y-series dubbed as the Y50 in China earlier in April this year. Last week, we had reported that the brand could announce the smartphone in India this month. Now, Vivo has quietly launched the Y50 in India.

Just a while ago, the smartphone was listed on Flipkart. The Indian variant of Vivo Y50 has the same specifications as the China variant but the device is being offered in only one RAM and storage configuration. Apart from the upcoming Y50, Vivo is also tipped to launch the Y30, but there is no word on the release date as of now.

The Vivo Y50 is powered by Snapdragon 665 processor.

The Vivo Y50 features an FHD+ display with a punch-hole camera cutout measuring 6.53-inches. It offers a 90.77 percent screen-to-body ratio. The back panel houses a rectangular camera module and a physical fingerprint scanner. The camera setup comprises a 13MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. Up front, the device is fitted with a 16MP selfie snapper. The smartphone features a Ultra Stable Video mode to avoid camera shake during shooting videos.

On the hardware front, the Vivo Y50 is equipped with a Snapdragon 665 processor. It is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging via a USB-C port. Software-wise, the Vivo Y50 runs Android 10 with Funtouch OS 10 layered on the top.
