Vivo Y50 and Y30 reportedly launching in India this month

Vivo had launched two smartphones in its Y-series namely, the Y50 and Y30 in April and May respectively. The former debuted in Cambodia while the latter was released in Malaysia. Now according to a report by 91mobiles, the Chinese smartphone maker is set to announce the two devices in India this month.

The report also reveals the price of Vivo Y50 in the country. The Vivo Y50 and Y30 will likely arrive with the same specifications as their Cambodian and Malaysian counterparts. Both smartphones feature the same design language. Let’s see what the devices offer out of the box:

Vivo Y50 specifications and features

The Vivo Y50 and Y30 feature a similar design language

The Vivo Y50 sports a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with a punch-hole camera cutout at the top left corner. The device has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. There is a vertically stacked camera setup in a rectangular module comprising a 13MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth shooter and a 2MP macro camera. In the front, the Vivo Y50 comes with a 16MP selfie shooter. 

The Vivo Y50 is equipped with a Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It draws power from a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The smartphone runs Android 10 out of the box.

Vivo Y30 specifications and features

The Vivo Y50 will come with HDFC and ICICI cashback offers

The Vivo Y30 retains the same design, a punch-hole display and a quad-camera setup from the Y50. The smartphone features a 6.47-inch screen bearing HD+ resolution. The Y30 is fitted with an 8MP selfie snapper. Internally, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The Vivo Y30 is also backed by the same 5,000mAh battery unit as the Y50, but doesn’t support 18W fast charging. 

Vivo Y50 and Y30 price in India

The report by reveals that the Vivo Y50 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will be priced in India at Rs 17,990. The price of Vivo Y30 is not known yet, but since it comes with slightly toned-down specs compared to Y50, we can expect it to be priced around Rs 15,000. According to the poster, the Vivo Y50 will also come with launch offers including 5 percent cash back on HDFC and ICICI bank credit cards.
