Vivo Y50t has been launched in the company’s home market. It is the latest offering in the brand’s Y-series smartphone lineup. The Y50t is also the successor to last year’s Y50 and the device comes with upgraded specifications.

The Vivo Y50t features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner

The Vivo Y50t comes with a 6.58-inch LCD display bearing an FHD+ resolution and a punch-hole cutout at the top left corner. The device offers a 90.72 percent screen-to-body ratio. Design-wise, the power button doubles up as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner whereas the back panel houses a rectangular camera module. 

On the imaging front, the Vivo Y50t sports triple rear cameras comprising of a 48MP primary sensor, 2MP depth lens, and a 2MP macro unit. There is an 8MP front-facing snapper for selfies and face unlock. 

Internally, the Vivo Y50t is powered by a Snapdragon 720G processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB native storage. There is a 4GB virtual RAM extension technology and microSD card slot for additional storage needs. The smartphone is backed by a 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging. 

Software-wise, the Vivo Y50t runs on the dated Android 10 OS with Origin OS 1.0 on the top. Connectivity options on the smartphone include a microUSB port, 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm jack, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.

The Vivo Y50t carries a price tag of RMB 1,399 (~ Rs 16,300) and is offered in Black and Blue colours. The smartphone will go on sale in China soon. There is no word if the smartphone will arrive in India.
