Vivo Y55 5G has been launched in Taiwan. It is the latest 5G compatible device in the brand’s Y-series. The smartphone is a mid-range offering.

The Vivo Y55 5G offers a 6.58-inch LCD display bearing a FHD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The smartphone has a slightly boxy design and the back panel houses a rectangular camera island.
The Vivo Y55 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP lens and a 2MP depth unit. On the front, it features an 8MP selfie snapper.
Internally, the Vivo Y55 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB native storage expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card slot. The device also features 1GB additional RAM extension technology. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging. Software-wise, it runs on Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 11.
Connectivity options on the Vivo Y55 5G include a USB-C port, 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1 and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Vivo Y55 5G carries a price tag of NTD 7,990 (~Rs 21,543) and is offered in Galaxy Blue and Star Black colours. It is available for purchase in Taiwan. The smartphone’s global availability remains unknown.
