The Vivo Y55S has managed to leak out on an Indian e-commerce website before its official launch. While the company made no announcement about this product, it is currently on sale for a price of Rs. 12,980.
The Vivo Y55S looks quite similar to the Vivo Y55L but gets some changes on the spec sheet. The Y55S has a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with a pixel density of 282PPI. It also gets a scratch resistant 2.5D glass on the top. It is powered by a Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor and has 3GB of RAM. The processor is clocked at 1.4GHz and has the Adreno 505 for graphics.
The Y55S improves in terms of camera as it sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with flash. It is capable of Full HD video recording. At the front, it houses a 5-megapixel camera and gets a screen flash mode to click selfies in low light. The phone gets 16GB of storage space out of which less than 12GB is available to the user. The storage is further expandable via a microSD card slot up to 256GB.
The Vivo Y55S runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Vivo’s FunTouch UI on top. The listing also claims that the software is upgradable to Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone has a metal unibody design and packs in a 2730mAh non-removable battery. It also gets a Hi-Fi audio chip for improved audio on the phone. In terms of connectivity, it gets Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi b/g/n and MicroUSB. It is a Dual SIM device and has support for 2G, 3G, 4G and VoLTE and is compatible with Reliance Jio. The Vivo Y55S is only available in Rose Gold at the moment and is priced at Rs 12,980.
