Vivo is apparently gearing up to launch yet another phone dubbed Vivo Y66 in India. The device has now been spotted on an e-commerce website OnlyMobiles with price details. We are expecting the phone to make it to the Indian market this month itself. To recall, Vivo Y66 was launched in China for 1,498 yuan (approx. Rs 14,650). Vivo is also tipped to launch Vivo V5 Lite in India this month.
On the front, Vivo Y66 sports a 5.5-inch HD display resolution with the layer of 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. inside is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 clocked at 1.4GHz and paired with Adreno 506 GPU for graphics. Other internals includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, expandable up to 128GB via microSD.
In terms of optics, Vivo Y66 features a 13MP rear snapper with LED flash. It also houses a 5MP selfie camera up front. It is a dual-SIM handset that is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Funtouch OS 3.0 on top. Furthermore, it packs in a 3000mAh battery.
Vivo Y66 comes with the standard set of connectivity options 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB 2.0. The supported sensors include a gravity, light, and distance. Unfortunately, the phone is devoid of a fingerprint scanner, which would be the major let-down, especially considering the expected price.
