Vivo Y70s 5G with Exynos 880 and 48MP triple cameras launched: price, specificatons

Vivo has launched the latest entrant in its Y-series, the Vivo Y70s. The device is an affordable 5G-enabled smartphone from the brand. The Vivo Y70s is also the first smartphone to be powered by the latest Samsung Exynos 880 chipset, which appears to be an underclocked Exynos 980.

The Vivo Y70s 5g features 5G connectivity, 48MP triple cameras, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and more as its key selling points. The Vivo Y70s 5G has gone official in China and is currently listed for pre-orders in its home country. Let’s take a look at what the smartphone offers in terms of specifications.

The Vivo Y70s 5G comes equipped with a 6.53-inch FHD+ LCD display with a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner. The performance of the device is taken care of by the 8nm Samsung Exynos 880 chipset accompanied by the Mali-G76 MP5 GPU. The processor is accompanied by up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Vivo Y70s 5G boots FunTouchOS 10 based on Android 10 and is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

In the optics department, the phone features a 48MP main camera alongside an 8MP ultra-wide snapper and 2MP depth sensor on the back. For selfies, the phone offers a 16MP shooter in the front housed in the punch-hole cutout.

Vivo Y70s 5G price and availability

The Vivo Y70s 5G is being offered in Fog Illusion, Starlight Blue, and Moon Shadow Black colours as listed on the Vivo’s official Chinese website. The phone will retail at RMB 1,998 (~Rs 21,200) for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and RMB 2,198 (~Rs 23,300) for 8GB + 128GB variant. The smartphone will start selling in China from June 1st. As of now, there’s no word on the global launch of the device.
