Vivo Y76S, Y53L monikers confirmed by IMEI and CEIR India listings, launch seems imminent

The Vivo Y76S and Y53L smartphones have been listed on IMEI and India’s CEIR websites. Notably, these smartphones have not been launched anywhere yet, and appear to be new Y-series offerings in the making. If that’s true, India could be among the first markets to receive these smartphones.

In case you weren’t aware, India’s CEIR database is the Central Equipment Identity Register developed by the DoT (Department of Telecommunications), designed to track and find lost mobiles. The appearance of new Vivo models on the register pretty much confirms that these smartphones are headed to India soon.

Vivo Y76S and Y53L spotted on IMEI and CEIR India listings

As mentioned before, two new Vivo models have been listed on IMEI and India’s CEIR databases, confirming their monikers and an imminent India launch. The IMEI listing confirms the names of both phones, as well as the model number V2111A associated with the Vivo Y76s. India’s CEIR database on the other hand lists the Vivo Y53L, along with a phone with model number V2111A, which confirms the Vivo V76s is launching here soon.

The CEIR listing also reveals that both smartphones will come with 4G LTE bands and no 5G. This hints that the Vivo Y76S and Y53L will be affordable offerings from the brand.

Unfortunately, no other details about these two handsets are known at the moment. Notably, Vivo launched the Y53 back in 2017 with a 5-inch display, Snapdragon 425 SoC, 8MP rear camera, 5MP selfie camera, and 2,500mAh battery. It’s likely that the Vivo Y53L will also be a budget handset. There are no details surrounding the Vivo Y76S at the moment.
