Vivo Y77 5G has been launched in China. It has arrived as Vivo’s most powerful Y-series phone. The Y77 5G is the first phone to use the Dimensity 930, which is a newer version of the Dimensity 920.

The Y77 5G has a punch-hole display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with 50-megapixel dual rear cameras, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB of built-in storage, and a big battery that supports 80W fast charging. The Vivo Y77 5G features a 6.64-inch LCD screen that produces a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2388 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The punch-hole display offers a screen-to-body ratio of 91.13 percent. It runs on the Android 12 OS, which is overlaid with OriginOS Ocean UI. The power button located on the right edge of the device is integrated with a fingerprint scanner.

The Y77 5G draws power from the Dimensity 930 chipset, which works at 2.2GHz. The SoC is accompanied by up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The device is backed by a 4,500mAh battery. It carries support for 80W fast charging, which according to Vivo, can achieve a 50 percent charge in just 10 minutes.

The Vivo Y77 5G has an 8-megapixel camera on the front for snapping selfies. Its rear camera setup has a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and an LED flash. The device offers connectivity features like dual SIM support, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Vivo Y77 5G price and availability

The Vivo Y77 5G is available in four different configurations in China: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage for RMB 1,499 (~Rs 17,200); 8GB RAM + 128GB storage for RMB 1,599 (~Rs 18,900); 8GB RAM + 256GB storage for RMB 1,799 Yuan (~Rs 21,250); and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage for RMB 1,999 (~Rs 23,600). It has arrived in three colours: blue, black, and pink.

Vivo will carry out the first sale of the smartphone on July 11 in China. It remains to be seen whether it will be made available in India or other markets.
