Vivo Y7s with Helio P65 and Triple Cameras Launched in China

Vivo has announced a new smartphone called the Y7s in China. It is a rebranded version of the Vivo S1 that has recently debuted in Indonesia. The handset has arrived as China’s first smartphone powered by the Helio P65 chipset and it also comes with some other enticing features such as a tall aspect ratio display and triple rear cameras.

Vivo Y7s Specifications and Features

The Vivo Y7s features a glass and metal chassis and a full HD+ 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. The display is embedded with an in-screen fingerprint reader. The handset has a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent.

The latest Helio P65 chipset with Mali-G52 graphics fuels the phone. The processor is coupled with 6GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 128GB. The smartphone features a microSD card for expanding its storage further.

Vivo Y7s

The LED flash assisted triple camera setup placed on the rear side of the Vivo Y7s features a 16-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone houses a 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging through microUSB 2.0. FunTouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie OS handles the software on the device. There is Multi-Turbo acceleration engine onboard for smoother performance. There’s also a dedicated hardware button on the device for accessing the Jovi AI assistant.

In March, Vivo had launched a smartphone called the Vivo S1 in China. However, in terms of specs and design, it is very different from the globally available Vivo S1. It features a full HD+ 6.53-inch IPS LCD fullscreen display, Helio P70 SoC, 24.8-megapixel pop-up selfie camera, 12-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 5-megapixel triple camera setup and 3,940mAh battery. As mentioned above, the Vivo S1 for the global market has been rebranded as the Vivo Y7s for China.

Vivo Y7s Price and Release Date

The Vivo Y7s carries a price tag of 1,798 Yuan (~Rs 17,999) in China. The company will be holding the first sale of the smartphone on July 20th. The handset comes in two gradient colour options – Sea Breeze Blue and Wave Blue.
