Vivo has launched a new budget-friendly smartphone in the Indian market. It is dubbed as the Vivo Y90 and comes with entry-level specifications. The device has been introduced as the most affordable Y-series smartphone in India.
The Vivo Y90 features a 6.22-inch Halo FullView display bearing an HD+ resolution. There is a waterdrop notch on the top and the device offers an 88.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Y90 can be availed in two colour choices – Black and Gold. The smartphone comes with various sensors like accelerometer, ambient light, proximity, e-compass, and gyroscope.
On the optics front, the Vivo Y90 comes with a single 8MP rear camera and a 5MP sensor on the front. The camera offers various modes like face beauty, professional mode, palm capture, timelapse, slow motion, voice control, etc. The front camera offers a Face Unlock feature in the absence of a missing fingerprint scanner.
The Vivo Y90 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio A22 MT6761 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The device offers 16GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. The Vivo Y90 runs FunTouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. A 4,030mAh battery keeps the device running. Connectivity options on the Y90 include dual-SIM, VoLTE, MicroUSB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS

The Vivo Y90 has been launched at a price tag of Rs 6,990. It will be available for purchase through offline and online channels starting July 27th. At this price, the Y90 will compete against Realme 3i, Realme C2, Galaxy M10, Redmi 7 among others.
