Vivo has launched a new budget smartphone in its Y-series in India. The device is dubbed as Vivo Y91. Let’s see what this device offers out of the box:
In the front, the Vivo Y91 features a 6.22-inch Halo FullView display bearing HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels. There is a waterdrop notch on the top that houses a front camera. A fingerprint scanner is mounted on the back of the phone. The Y91 can be availed in two colour options with gradient textures – Starry Black and Ocean Blue.
On the camera front, the Vivo Y91 is equipped with a dual camera setup on the rear. It comprises of 13MP primary and 2MP secondary sensor. Upfront, an 8MP snapper is fitted for clicking selfies and video calling purposes. The camera offers AI-backed features like Face Beauty, Time Lapse, HDR, and Portrait Mode. For additional security, the front camera also offers a face unlock feature.
In terms of hardware, the Y91 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM. It offers 32GB internal memory with an option to expand up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The Y91 is fitted with a 4,030mAh battery unit. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo with FunTouch OS layered on the top.

The Vivo Y91 comes with a price tag of Rs 10,990. It is available for purchase on Amazon India, PayTM, Vivo India e-store and all offline partner stores. It appears that the original price of the device is Rs.11,990 and is currently sold at an introductory price with 8 percent discount. The Vivo Y91 comes with bundled Bluetooth earphone worth Rs.1,200 if purchased via the e-store. The company is also offering 3TB data plus benefits worth Rs 4,000 from Reliance Jio, instant cashback of Rs 2,000 and 240GB data from Airtel, additional Rs 500 off on exchange and no-cost EMIs for 6 months.
