Vivo had launched the Vivo Y91i smartphone in March last year. At that time, the device was offered in 2GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB storage options. The 2GB + 32GB model is currently available for Rs 6,990 after a price cut. Now the smartphone maker has introduced a 3GB + 32GB variant of the Y91i. As per Mumbai based retailer, Mahesh Telecom, the Vivo Y91i is priced at Rs 7,990 and available for purchase across offline stores. The brand will compete against Xiaomi, Nokia and Realme in this price segment.
Vivo Y91i specifications and features
Apart from the RAM and storage option, the Vivo Y91i retains all the specifications of the previous model. The device features an HD+ Halo FullView IPS LCD display measuring 6.2-inches. There is no physical fingerprint scanner and the Y91i relies on face unlock for security. The smartphone is available in three gradient colour options of Fusion Black, Sunset Red and Ocean Blue. The Vivo Y91i comes with a single 13MP primary rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. In the front, the device is fitted with a 5MP selfie snapper.
The Vivo Y91i is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset paired with 3GB RAM. The device offers 32GB onboard storage that is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. The smartphone draws its power from a 4,030mAh battery unit and runs Android 8.1 Oreo with FunTouch OS skinned on the top. The Vivo Y91i is a dual-SIM smartphone. It offers connectivity options like 4G LTE, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth.
