Vivo had announced the Vivo Y93, a mid-range smartphone in China back in November. The device has now made its way to India quietly. However, both the variants have two distinguishing features. Let’s take a look below:
To recall the technical specifications, the Vivo Y93 sports a bezel-less display with tiny waterdrop notch on the top. The screen measures 6.22-inches bearing an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. Design-wise, the phone flaunts a gradient finish and ships in two colour variants – Starry Night, and Nebula Purple. Unlike the China variant, the India version of the Y93 is equipped with a fingerprint sensor at the back. On the optics front, the device features a 13MP f/2.2 primary sensor accompanied by a secondary 2MP depth sensor. An 8MP f/1.8 sensor is fitted on the front for clicking selfies.
The Indian version of Vivo Y93 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, while the China version came with a Snapdragon 439 processor. It is coupled with 4GB RAM. The device offers 32GB internal memory expandable via a microSD card slot for additional needs. On the software front, the Y93 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with custom Funtouch OS 4.5 skinned on the top. The device is fuelled by a 4,030 mAh battery unit capable of lasting for two days on a full charge.
The Vivo Y93 is a dual SIM smartphone and offers all the conventional connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
