The Vivo Y93s is an upgraded variant of the Y93 launched in China in November 2018, The Y93s is already on sale at 1,698 Yuan (Rs 17,750 approx) in its home country. The device is expected to launch in India soon, but there is no official confirmation regarding it.
On the front, the Vivo Y93s is fitted with a 6.2-inch display with tiny waterdrop notch on the top. It bears HD+ resolution of 1,580 x 720 pixels. The back panel flaunts gradient colors and the device can be availed in two colour options – Aurora Red, and Zixia Red. The Vivo Y93s lacks a physical fingerprint scanner, however, it offers face recognition for unlocking the device.
On the hardware front, the Y93s comes with upgraded specifications compared to the Y93. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset complemented by 4GB RAM. For storing data, the device offers 128GB internal memory. It can be expanded up to 256GB via dedicated microSD card slot for additional needs. The Vivo Y93s ships with Funtouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It features a built-in Jovi assistant for a user-friendly experience. The device is backed by a 4,030mAh battery unit.
In the camera department, the Y93s features a vertically stacked dual rear camera configuration. It includes a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. Upfront, the device is fitted with an 8MP snapper for clicking selfies. The camera offers features like AI Beautification, AI Stickers, and Face Wake.
