Vivo Y95, the latest Y-series phone from Vivo has gone official in the Philippines today. It features a notched screen and it is driven by the new Snapdragon 439 SoC. The handset is also equipped with a 20-megapixel front camera. It has arrived to replace the Vivo Y85 phone.
Vivo Y95 Specifications and Features
The specifications of the Vivo Y95 resembles the recently announced Vivo Y93 smartphone. The only major difference seems to be the presence of a better front-facing camera on the Vivo Y95.
The Y95 comes with a 6.2-inch waterdrop notch screen with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. It offers an aspect ratio of 19:9. After the Vivo Y93, the Y95 is the second Vivo phone to sport the Snapdragon 439. The SoC of the smartphone is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device is 64 GB. There is a dedicated microSD card slot for expanding its storage.
The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo with FunTouch OS 4.5 UI. Vivo has also included some software features like Jovi Smart Scene, game mode and Google Lens. A 4,030mAh battery powers the smartphone. There is no support for fast charging on the device. For photography, Vivo has included 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel rear-facing dual camera module on the smartphone. An AI powered 20-megapixel camera resides in the notch of the phone. A Face Beauty feature is available for capturing enhanced selfie shots.
There is a fingerprint scanner on the rear side of the Vivo Y95. The other biometric recognition feature on the phone is face unlock. The other features that are available on the Vivo Y95 are dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB 2.0 and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Vivo Y95 Pricing and Availability
The Vivo Y95 is priced at PHP 13,999 (~Rs. 19,000). It is available in Philippines in Starry Night Black and Aurora Red colours.
Recent reports have claimed that the Chinese manufacturer will be also selling the Vivo Y95 in India by the end of this month. It is likely to be priced under Rs. 15,000.
