It was earlier reported that Vivo was planning to launch an online-only Z series to combat Xiaomi. The company has teased the upcoming series on social media channels. Now, 91mobiles has managed to get its hands on a couple of Z series handsets. It is very likely that the device pictured in these photos are the Vivo Z5X which was launched in China recently.
Vivo aims to sell the new Z-Series only via online channels. The devices will be priced below Rs 20,000 and will go on sale by June-end or early-July The Vivo Z5X is expected to come equipped with 6.53-inch FHD+ display and an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. That apart, the Vivo Z5X is likely to be the first phone from Vivo to feature a punch-hole display.
Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM. On the storage front, the Vivo Z5X is expected to offer a choice between 64GB and 128GB. In other words, the Vivo Z5X will be available in four variants, 4GB RAM + 64GB, 6GB RAM + 64GB, 6GB RAM + 128GB, and 8GB RAM + 128GB. Furthermore, the device is powered by Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie and also present is the JoviAI assistant.
As far as the camera is concerned, the Vivo Z5X boasts a triple rear camera setup consisting of 16MP, 8MP and 2MP sensors. Meanwhile, the front camera is a 16MP sensor. Other camera features include AI Beauty, AR shoot, etc. Connectivity options on the Vivo Z5X include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and A-GPS. A 5,000mAh battery with Dual-Engine 18W fast charging.
