In October last year, Vivo launched the Z3 mid-range Android smartphone in the Chinese market. At the time of its launch in China, the smartphone was made available in Starry Night, Aurora Blue, and Dream Powder gradient colors. The Chinese smartphone maker today introduced a new Emerald color option for the Z3 in China.
Vivo Z3 Emerald Variant to Go on Sale in China Next Week
The Vivo Z3 Emerald color variant will go on sale in China for the first time on March 6 via the company’s own online store, TMall, Suning, JD, and a few other major retailers. Consumers in China can now pre-order the new Emerald Vivo Z3 variant on JD.com for 1,698 yuan ($253).
Vivo Z3 is available in two different chipset versions. While one version runs on a 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core chipset, the other is powered by a less powerful Snapdragon 670 chipset. Vivo offers the smartphone in four different memory configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. The handset includes a microSD card slot for further expansion up to 256GB.
The Vivo Z3 sports a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display panel with 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. For optics, the smartphone has a 16MP + 2MP dual-camera setup at the rear and a 12MP selfie snapper on the front. Connectivity-wise, the mid-range Vivo handset comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, FM radio, and 4G VoLTE. Unlike a few other mid-range smartphones released by Vivo last year, the Z3 does not include an In-display fingerprint sensor. Instead, it sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The internals of the handset are fueled by a non-removable 3315mAh capacity battery. In terms of software, the Vivo Z3 currently runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Vivo’s custom Funtouch OS running on top.
