Vivo Z3x with Snapdragon 660 and 16MP Selfie Camera Launched in China

The Vivo Z3x is the latest Z-series smartphone from the brand to go official in China. In terms of appearance, the handset looks like the Vivo V9 or the Vivo Z1 that was released in China last year. The Vivo Z3x even bears identical specs, and the only major change that has arrived on it is the inclusion of a new selfie camera.

Vivo Z3x Specifications and Features

The Vivo Z3x features a notched IPS LCD display measuring 6.26-inches. It carries full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,280 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The Snapdragon 660 SoC fuels the phone along with 4GB of RAM. It is equipped with an inbuilt storage of 64GB. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot onboard. There is 3,260mAh battery inside the device.

The Vivo Z1 featured a 24-megapixel front-facing camera. The Z3x has a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The rear shell of the phone has a vertical dual camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

The FunTouch OS based Android 9 Pie comes preloaded on the Vivo Z3x, along with the Jovi AI assistant. For an optimised gaming experience, it is equipped with Game Turbo GPU acceleration technology. There is System Turbo onboard for enhanced system performance. When it comes to connectivity, the Vivo Z3x carries support for dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack. A fingerprint scanner is available on the rear of the Vivo Z3x. It also carries support for face unlock. The smartphone measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89mm and it weighs 150 grams.

Vivo Z3x Price and Release Date

The Vivo Z3x has arrived in China with a price tag of 1,198 Yuan (~Rs 12,400). It can be bought in colours like Aurora, Red and Enamel Black. The Chinese manufacturer will begin with the pre-orders of the phone in the market from May 1st and its sales will begin a week later. There is no word on whether the phone will be made available in Indian markets yet.
