Vivo Z5x With Punch Hole Display And Snapdragon 710 Goes Official

Vivo has announced a new device in the Z-series dubbed as the Vivo Z5x. The device is a mid-range smartphone and has been launched in China. The Z5x is the company’s first smartphone to sport a punch hole display like the Samsung Galaxy S10 series. Let’s find out what this device has in store for us:

Technical Specifications:

On the display front, the Vivo Z5x features a 6.53-inch screen bearing FHD+ resolution. The device comes with a display cutout for the front camera situated on the top left corner. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is offered in three colour options – Extreme Night Black, Phantom Black and Aurora Blue color.

On the imaging front, the Vivo Z5x packs a triple camera setup. It comprises of a 24MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle and a 2MP depth sensor. The device is fitted with a 16MP front snapper for selfies. The camera is backed by AI features for enhancing the images.

In terms of hardware, the Z5x is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 chipset. The handset is available in four configurations with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for expanding the storage. Out of the box, the Vivo Z5x runs Android 9 Pie with Vivo’s proprietary FunTouch OS skinned on the top. The device is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging.

Pricing & Availability:

The base 4GB + 64GB variant of the Vivo Z5x is priced at 1,399 Yuan (~Rs 14,094). The 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB options carry a price tag of 1,498 Yuan (~Rs 15,091) and 1,698 Yuan (~Rs 17,106) respectively. The higher 8GB model will retail at Yuan 1,998 (~Rs 20,125). The smartphone is up for pre-order with sales commencing from June 1st.
