Vivo Z6 5G with Snapdragon 765G and 44W fast charging launched

Vivo has unveiled the Z6 5G smartphone in China. Priced at RMB 2,298 (~Rs 23,600), it has arrived as the cheapest 5G phone from the company and is the successor to the Vivo Z5 from last year. The Snapdragon 765G powered device comes with a punch-hole screen and a massive battery that is coupled with 44W fast charging technology. Also, the smartphone comes with gaming capabilities and PC-grade liquid cooling technology.

The Vivo Z6 5G has a 20:9 aspect ratio display measuring 6.57-inches. It offers full HD+ resolution and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.74 percent.

The Vivo Z6 5G has the 7nm Snapdragon 765G processor that clocks at 2.4GHz octa-core processor under its hood. The handset comes in 6GB and 8GB LPDDRx RAM variants and UFS 2.1 storage versions of 64GB and 128GB. It lacks support for a microSD card slot. The phone is equipped with a massive 5,000mAh battery. The Chinese manufacturer claims that it can be fully charged in just 65 minutes through 44W Super FlashCharge technology.

For snapping selfies, the Vivo Z6 5G has an f/2.48 aperture front-facing camera of 16-megapixels. The rectangular camera module sports an f/1.79 48-megapixel main shooter, a 112-degree 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens with 4cm focal length and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The photography features available on the smartphone include portrait mode, time-lapse, Super Night Scene 2.0, Hyper HDR, RAW format output, 1080p slow motion video shooting and 4K video recording.

Android 10 along with FunTouchOS 10 runs on the Vivo Z6 5G. The Vivo Z6 5G comes with other features like face unlock, a rear-facing fingerprint reader and ability to connect dual Wi-Fi networks. The connectivity features added on Vivo Z6 5G are dual SIM slot, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Vivo Z6 5G is currently only available for purchase in China. It will be up for pre-booking in the country from tomorrow and it will be hitting the shelves on March 8th. The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 8G RAM + 128GB storage variants are priced at RMB 2,298 (~Rs 23,600) and RMB 2,598 (~Rs 26,700) respectively. The phone comes in colour variants like Ice Age White, Interstellar Silver and Aurora Black. There is no word whether the phone will be launching in India.
