Vivo is all set to expand its range of Z series smartphones in China. The company has announced that the next phone in the series will be the Vivo Z6 5G, which will be launched in its home market on February 29th. The device will arrive as a mid-range offering with support for the next-gen 5G networks. The Vivo Z6 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s latest mid-range chipset called the Snapdragon 765G, which comes with an integrated 5G modem. The affordable 5G handset also features a hole in the screen to house the selfie camera and a quad primary camera setup at the rear.
Vivo Z6 5G specifications and features
As revealed by the brand, the Vivo Z6 5G comes with support for both SA and NSA networks, and features dual 4G VoLTE (voice over LTE) as well. The selfie camera hole in the screen of the handset will be placed in the top-right corner. The primary quad-camera setup of the smartphone will be placed in the top-left corner at the rear.
The phone will also have a fingerprint sensor in the middle on the back towards the top. The company has also revealed that the Z6 5G will be featuring a beefy 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support and boot Android 10 out of the box. The brand hasn’t revealed anything about the other specs of the smartphone.
Vivo Z6 5G price and availability
Vivo hasn’t yet revealed the pricing of the Vivo Z6 Pro, but the phone is said to be priced under RMB 2,500 (~Rs 27,000). The handset will go on sale in China from February 29th via JD.com and the brand’s e-store. Those who pre-order the smartphone on February 28th will be getting the EX900 headphones for free. There’s no word when the brand is planning to launch the phone in other markets like India.
