On: April 23, 2020

Vodafone Idea launched its double data benefits offer on selected prepaid plans last month in all 22 telecom circles in India. However, just last week, the telecom operator discontinued the offer in eight cities, limiting it to 14 circles in total. Now, the company has further reduced the total number of circles to nine and seems to be phasing out the offer completely. Moreover, the double data benefits were being offered on three prepaid plans initially, but now only two of these plans are being offered with double data. Here’s everything you need to know if you’re a Vodafone Idea subscriber.

Vodafone India was offering the Double Data plan India but according to a listing on the official website, it’s now applicable only in 9 cities. These circles include Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Mumbai, Kolkata, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Rajasthan, and Jammu and Kashmir. The telecom operator earlier offered the benefits on Rs 249, Rs 399 and Rs 599 plans. However, now the company will offer double data benefits only on the latter two. Users of these plans are entitled to unlimited calls, 3GB data every day, Vodafone Play and Zee5 subscription. The Rs 599 plan comes with a validity of 84 days, while Rs 399 plan will last for 56 days. The same plan is being offered to Idea customers as well with similar benefits. However, Idea users get Idea Movies and TV app access instead of the Vodafone Play and Zee5.

Vodafone Double Data offer was launched in India on March 1st, 2020. The Rs 249 pack, which has been removed from the double data benefits, was one of the most popular plans amongst the Vodafone Idea users. We can expect the telecom operator to completely phase out the Vodafone Double Data offer from the country in coming days.
