Earlier this month, the largest telecom operator in India, Reliance Jio launched a new JioPOS Lite app that allows Jio users to earn a commission every time they perform a prepaid recharge for someone else. The app offers a 4.16 percent commission to Jio Partners for every Jio recharge they perform for subscribers. Airtel has a similar Super Hero feature integrated within the MyAirtel app, where users can enroll themselves and earn commissions on recharging other Airtel numbers. Now, Vodafone Idea has collaborated with the digital payments and financial services platform, Paytm to launch a similar program. The new initiative is called Recharge Sathi and is integrated into the Paytm app.

The Recharge Saathi program allows individuals to earn additional Rs 5,000 every month
The Recharge Saathi program from Vodafone Idea and Paytm comes at a time when the recharge outlets and shops are closed due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown. As part of the program, any Paytm customer including pharmacists, milk booth operators, newspaper vendors and security guards among others, can start recharging Vodafone Idea numbers of their customers for additional income. For this partnership, Paytm has slightly revamped its app to help during the time of lockdown. All transactions and recharges will take place securely on the Paytm app, which is reassuring. Vodafone Idea has announced an assured cashback to merchant partners for multiple recharges done through the Recharge Saathi program. The company claims that with the new program, Individuals and small businesses would be able to earn up to Rs 5,000 every month.

How to enable Recharge Saathi
Those who wish to earn additional income through the Recharge Saathi program need to download the Paytm app and register. Once done, they can access the program from the Prepaid/Postpaid payments section under the ‘Stay at Home Essentials’ category.
