Vu Cinema TVs with 4K, Dolby Vision and 40W soundbars launched in India, prices start at Rs 26,999

Vu has launched a new range of televisions in India. The Vu Cinema TV comes in three display sizes of 43, 50, and 55-inches. All three variants come with premium specifications and features. Vu claims that the Cinema TV range is targeted at those looking for a superior movie experience. In a statement, Devita Saraf, CEO, Vu Technologies said, This television is specifically designed keeping in mind the viewing pattern of today’s millennials who prefers to watch content across OTT platforms. Consumers can save on expensive movie theatre tickets and get cinema-like picture quality on OTT content from the comfort of their home.”

Vu Cinema TV specifications and features

The Vu Cinema TV comes in 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch screen sizes, all bearing 4K resolution and support for Dolby Vision HDR. Vu claims that the LED panels have been assembled 100 percent robotically ensuring precision, uniform brightness from all angles and a thin-bezel-less design. The TV range also uses Vu’s Pixelium Glass Technology that is said to offer 500 nits of brightness. The Vu Cinema TV range is equipped with a built-in soundbars with 40W tweeters. The TVs feature Dolby Audio for an immersive sound experience.  

The Vu Cinema TV range comes with the company’s Upscaler Technology to match the output from video-on-demand platforms like Netflix to the cinema experience. The televisions run Android 9 Pie and come with pre-installed apps like the Play Store, YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hotstar. The Vu Cinema TV comes with a bundled remote with five dedicated hotkeys for the pre-installed apps. Additionally, the remote also has a dedicated voice search button with Google Assistant support. 

Vu Cinema TV price in India

The 43-inch Vu Cinema TV is priced at Rs 26,999, while the 50-inch model will cost Rs 29,999. The 55-inch variant carries a price tag of Rs 33,999. The televisions will be available for purchase on Amazon from January 18th.
