California-based television manufacturer Vu has launched three new TV series in India which includes Premium Android, UltraSmart and Pixelight lineup. The Premium Android and Pixelight series are available in four sizes – 43-,50-,55- and 65-inch. The Ultrasmart TV is available in 32-, 40- and 49-inch sizes. The company also announced its proprietary upscaling technology called VOD Upscaler, which enhances picture quality for video on demand (VOD) content like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and others. The software-based feature is available in all the newly announced TVs range. Let’s take a look below:
Vu Premium Android:
The Vu Premium Android TV range boasts 4K resolution along with support for HDR 10 and Dolby Vision technology. The company claims that it helps upscale details by maximizing contrast and color accuracy to deliver immersive an 4K HDR picture. On the audio front, the TV is equipped with Dolby MS12 Audio and DBx-tv, that help in producing crystal clear sound. Software-wise, the Android 4K TV runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with access to the Google ecosystem along with certified apps like YouTube, Hotstar, etc. The apps can be accessed via the Vu ActiVoice remote. The Vu Premium Android 4K TV features an OD22 slim design in Titanium Grey color.
The price of the Premium Android 4K TV range starts at Rs 35,000 for the 43-inch variant and goes up to Rs 72,000 for the higher 65-inch model. The 50- and 55-inch variants are priced at Rs 41,000 and Rs 47,000 respectively.
Vu Pixelight TV:
The Vu Pixelight series comes with VOD technology to upscale the picture and sound quality for streaming video on demand. The TV also supports HDR technology. It comes with built-in Dolby Audio and DTS technologies for an immersive entertainment experience. The TV range is accompanied by a Pixelight remote with four hotkeys that gives instant access to premium licensed apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube. Additionally, there is an apps menu where users can access regional content.
The Pixelight 43-inch TV carries a price tag of Rs 30,000. The 50- and 55-inch models are available for Rs 39,000 and Rs 42,000 respectively. The 65-inch variant will set you back by Rs 66,000.
Vu UltraSmart TV:
The Vu UltraSmart TV range comes with toned down features and an affordable price tag. It bears Full HD resolution and built-in Dolby and DBX-TV audio for entertainment. Like the Pixelight TV range, this one too comes with a four hotkeys remote that give access to licensed apps with ease. The TV runs on a Smart interface offering an easy way to access content
The price of the Vu UltraSmart 32-inch TV has been set at Rs 14,500. The 40- and 49-inch models will retail at Rs 21,000 and Rs 31,000 respectively.
