Apple has finally launched its iPhone 13 series. This year, the new iPhones bring several new features not seen on previous devices. Here's a look at what they offer.
128GB base variant
This is the first time Apple is offering a 128GB base variant with pricing unchanged. Previous iPhones offered 64GB for the base model.
1TB storage option
Apple has also expanded the storage up to 1TB for the first time. However, the 1TB variant is limited only to iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max.
Dual eSIM support
Apple introduced eSIM support on iPhones back in 2018. The iPhone 13 series now brings dual eSIM for the first time.
120Hz refresh rate displays
Apple introduced 120Hz displays on the iPad Pro lineup. This year, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max get 120Hz displays for the first time.
Autofocus in ultra-wide camera
Apple has introduced autofocus in the ultra-wide lens of iPhone 13 Pro models for the first time. Previous iPhone Pro models only offered fixed focus for this camera.
Apple has also introduced Macro mode on iPhone for the first time. The 13 Pro and Pro Max are capable of clicking and video recording objects as close as 2cm.
Night mode in all three cameras
Apple has enabled night mode on all three cameras on the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. Combined with Smart HDR4, they offer improved colour, contrast, and lighting.
The new Cinematic mode on iPhone 13 series allows users to shoot a video and then change the background blur as well as the focus in post processing.
