Most powerful smartphones: January 2022

AnTuTu has released its list of most powerful Android phones globally for the month of January 2022.

Here are the best performing Android phones in the world.

Xiaomi 12 Pro

The Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 gen 1 SoC aided by LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It scored the highest 9,79,499 on AnTuTu benchmark.

Nubia Red Magic 6

The Nubia Red Magic 6 is in the second spot with an 8,58,275 score. The gaming phone features Snapdragon 888 with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

ASUS ROG Phone 5s Pro

The ASUS ROG Phone 5S Pro was recently launched in India for Rs 79,999. The SD888+ phone scored 8,35,786 on AnTuTu with 18GB RAM and 512GB storage. 

Nubia Red Magic 6R

The Nubia Red Magic 6R was the third phone in the Red Magic 6 series with different specs and design. The SD888-powered smartphone scored 8,25,719 on AnTuTu to bag the fourth spot.

Realme GT

The Realme GT 2 5G made it to the top five with an AnTuTu score of 8,23,383. The phone is powered by SD888 and comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

ASUS ROG Phone 5

Last year’s ROG Phone 5 proved that it’s still relevant by scoring a respectable 8,20,262 on AnTuTu. The phone features SD888, with up to 12GB LPPDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

iQOO 7

The standard iQOO 7 with its SD870 chipset and up to 12GB RAM surprisingly found itself in the top 10 most powerful Android phones in January 2021. It starts at Rs 31,990 in India.

OnePlus 9 Pro

The OnePlus flagship smartphone 9 Pro scored 8,06,964 on the AnTuTu benchmark to enter the top 10. The smartphone is powered by the SD888 chipset supported by up to 12GB RAM.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Samsung’s flagship from last year - Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G managed a score of 7,95,273. The smartphone comes in Exynos 2100 / Snapdragon 888 CPU editions depending on the market.

OnePlus 9

In the last spot is the vanilla OnePlus 9 with an AnTuTu score of 7,94,634. It shares the same core specs as the Pro variant except for a toned-down display and camera setup.
