Whatsapp Now Lets You Post Voice Notes As Status

  • WhatsApp is officially bringing voice notes to status.
  • You’ll be able to post 30-second voice notes soon.
  • Available currently for select WhatsApp beta users.

WhatsApp Status is getting a massive update. You’ll be able to post voice notes as status in WhatsApp.

Voice notes as status is now available for some WhatsApp users on the beta version. It is available on the WhatsApp beta version for Android, according to WABetaInfo. It was also spotted on the iOS beta back in November as well.

WhatsApp will allow you to post voice recordings upto 30 seconds in length. It is also reported that the voice recordings on the status will be shared with end-to-end encryption.

How To Access Voice Status Feature?

Here’s how to post voice status in your WhatsApp.

  1. Open WhatsApp.
  2. Go to the status tab.
  3. Click on the + button.
  4. On the bottom left, you’ll see the microphone button.
  5. Click on it to start the recording.
  6. After recording, hit the send button to set your voice as status in your WhatsApp.

WhatsApp status will show a microphone button on the bottom right of the screen. It will allow you to record 30-second voice notes for the WhatsApp status. Like the normal WhatsApp status, you can limit who sees your voice status with the privacy settings.

When Will It Be Available To Everyone?

WhatsApp has been rolling out many new features over the last few months. It recently added new block shortcuts, camera mode switch, chat transfers to Android, and proxy support to beta versions. All of these are yet to appear on the stable version of WhatsApp.

So like those features, Voice status would also take some time to appear on the WhatsApp stable version. We’re not exactly sure when it will arrive.

But if you want to get access to voice status right now, make sure you enroll in the WhatsApp beta program on Play Store or download and install the latest WhatsApp beta version from WhatsApp’s official website.
