WhatsApp’s ‘Community Home’ for managing multiple groups spotted

WhatsApp’s new “Community Home” feature is said to be in the works. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is now rolling out a new beta update with version number through the Google Play Beta Program for Android users. The update reveals that the company is developing the Community Home feature for its users.

The screenshots of the new beta update show that the Community Home will be available as a separate section on WhatsApp. It is likely to give access to all the groups linked to a certain WhatsApp community.

As can be seen in the screenshots, WhatsApp’s latest beta edition has a new Community Home section for Android users. The second screenshot shows options like Manage Groups and Edit Community.

Probably, the Community Home page may display the names of the different groups, whereas the Manage Groups may provide certain options through which group admins will be able to manage the groups in a better way. The Edit Community feature may provide options to edit a particular community. The WhatsApp Community feature is under development and is expected to arrive to Android and iOS users through a future beta update.

WhatsApp’s other upcoming features

The publication recently revealed that in order to provide better security for WhatsApp users, the company is working on a two-step verification feature. Apart from the app, the company is expected to make the security feature available on the web/desktop client in future. It is also working on other features such as wallpapers for voice calls, pause and resume functions while recording voice, in-app WhatsApp support feature, and more.
