OnePlus may finally be looking to venture out and launch a pair of wireless headphones. That’s right, up till now the Chinese manufacturer has been very vocal when it comes to retaining the 3.5mm headphone jack and listening to their fan’s demand. The upcoming smartphone is also expected to feature the headphone jack as well. That being said, if sources are to be believed, the company will be launching the wireless version of its popular headphones – the wireless OnePlus Bullets.
During the launch of the OnePlus 5T, co-founder of the brand Carl Pei explained why the headphone jack was retained. The first reason being popular demand for the audio port whereas the second being the technology behind it not being mature enough. With the expected launch of a wireless pair of headphones, the brand may finally be looking to accept the wireless audio technology after all.
Speaking about the wireless bullets itself, they were listed on the Bluetooth certification website. They are expected to deliver similar or better audio performance from the already popular Bullets V2. It is still not known whether the upcoming Bullets Wireless will come in a truly wireless form factor like the Airpods or a wired around the head design.
