Xiaomi 11i and 11i HyperCharge India launch have been tipped. Yesterday, the company’s sub-brand Redmi held a launch event to unveil the Redmi Note 11 5G, Note 11 Pro 5G, and Note 11 Pro+ 5G in China. New information reveals that the Pro models will be arriving in India as the Mi 11i series of smartphones.

The Indian variants of the Note 11 trio have all received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), which indicates that these devices will be launching soon in India. Tipster Kacper Skrzypek has scoured through MIUI code to find that the Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro will be rebranded as the Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge in India.

Xiaomi Mi 11i, Mi 11i HyperCharge monikers emerge

China’s Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G was rebranded as the Xiaomi Mi 10i in India in January. The screenshots shared by the tipster shows that the Indian variants of Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro Plus with model numbers 21091116I and 21091116UI will be debuting as the Xiaomi 11i and 11i HyperCharge. Global markets will receive the same devices with the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Pro+ branding.

In related news, POCO will be holding a global launch on November 9th to announce the POCO M4 Pro 5G handset. It is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 11. Its Indian model has been certified by the BIS authority. However, it is unclear whether it will be launching as a Redmi or POCO device.

Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and Note 11 Pro+ 5G have an identical design

The Redmi Note 11 Pro and Pro+ 5G have identical specs. They mainly differ in departments like battery and fast charging capabilities. The former has a 5,160mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging, while the latter gets a smaller 4,500mAh battery that supports 120W rapid charging. These differences are likely to be present on the Xiaomi 11i and 11i HyperCharge.

The Xiaomi 11i and 11i HyperCharge is expected to come with common specs like a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, Dimensity 920 chipset, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and MIUI 12.5 based Android 11 OS. For photography, both phones may feature a 16-megapixel front camera and a 108-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (telemacro) triple camera unit.
