Xiaomi 11i series launch date for India has been confirmed. The company will be holding an unveiling event for it on January 6th, 2021. A landing page, which is now live on Xiaomi India’s website, hints at the charging capabilities of the 11i lineup.
The company will shed more light on the 11i lineup on December 23rd, which indicates it will continue to confirm more details in the coming days before the launch event. Reports have revealed that the lineup will include two models namely, Xiaomi 11i 5G and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G. The latter is expected to arrive as India’s first smartphone with support for 120W fast charging.

The above-shown poster gives a glimpse at the design of the Xiaomi 11i lineup. As can be seen, it will be sporting a display with a centrally aligned punch-hole. The company proudly claims that it will be India’s fast charging smartphone.
Reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 11i will support 67W fast charging, whereas the 11i HyperCharge will be equipped with support for 120W rapid charging. A tweet by Xiaomi India Managing Director and Global VP, Manu Kumar Jain and the contest question on the landing page suggests that the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G smartphone will take only 15 minutes to charge completely.

The Xiaomi 11i is expected to arrive with specs like a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to arrive as India’s first phone powered by the Dimensity 920 chipset. It is expected to run on Android 11 OS, which will be overlaid with MIUI 12.5 skin.
For photography, it may feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Its rear camera setup may include a 108-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel telemacro camera. It may house a 5,160mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.
The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G is expected to come with identical specs as the 11i model. However, it is likely to feature a smaller 4,500mAh battery that will carry support for 120W rapid charging.
A recent report claimed that the 11i HyperCharge may come in a single variant that offers 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. It may come in colours like Camo Green and Stealth Black. At present, there is no information available on the configurations and colour variants of the Xiaomi 11i 5G. To conclude, the 11i duo are expected to arrive as rebranded versions of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G phones, which debuted in October in China.
