Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G India launch has been teased by Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi’s Global VP and Managing Director for India. The flagship smartphone was first announced in China in December 2021. Last month, Xiaomi announced its entry into the global markets. As far as India is concerned, it is expected to go official as early as this month.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G will sport a 120Hz AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, and 50-megapixel triple rear cameras. Xiaomi is also selling the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X in China and global markets. It is unclear whether these devices will arrive in the country.

Xiaomi 12 Pro India launch date (expected)

Manu Kumar Jain’s latest tweet has a couple of clues about the Xiaomi 12 Pro’s launch date for India. The calendar and clock that can be seen in the image hint that the smartphone may go official at 12 pm on April 12th, 2022, in India.

In addition, reliable tipster Ishan Agarwal has claimed that the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be launched in April. The device will be arriving to rival the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered flagships such as the OnePlus 10 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus, iQOO 9 Pro 5G, and the upcoming Realme GT 2 Pro.

Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G specifications

The Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G has a 6.73-inch AMOLED LTPO display with a punch-hole design. The device supports a Quad HD+ resolution of 1,440 x 3,200 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The back panel of the device has a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powers the Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G. It offers up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone comes preinstalled with Android 12 OS with MIUI 13 on top. The device is packed with a 4,600mAh battery, which supports 120W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. Some of its other features include quad speakers and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
