Xiaomi 12 Ultra specifications have been leaked. The flagship phone will succeed the iconic Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra (review) from last year. Rumours are rife that the 12 Ultra will debut in July in China. Like its predecessor, it is also expected to be released in other markets, including India.
Tipster Yogesh Brar has leaked the key specifications of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The leak reveals that the device will be equipped with a 120Hz AMOLED panel, the latest Snapdragon 8-series chipset, 50-megapixel quad cameras, and a big battery. Here is all the information that has surfaced through the leak.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra specifications (rumoured)
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO panel that produces a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone’s CAD renders, which surfaced earlier this month, revealed that it would have a curved edge display with a punch-hole in the centre.
Under the hood, it will feature the recently unveiled Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The device will arrive with 8GB / 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB / 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The handset will come preloaded with the Android 12 OS overlaid with MIUI 13.
For selfies, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will feature a 20-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera unit of the device will have a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 48-megapixel ultrawide snapper, and a 48-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. There will be a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor and a laser autofocus sensor next to the rear cameras.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra featured a secondary display on the back, which not only showed notifications but also served as a viewfinder. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra renders revealed that it will not feature a secondary screen.
Coming back to the leaked specs, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will house a 5,000mAh battery. It will carry support for 67W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, like its predecessor. The leak has no information on the price of the device.
