Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro’s launch date has been reportedly confirmed. The company confirmed through its global Twitter handle that it will be holding its next launch event at 2 PM GMT+2 on October 4th, 2022. The event will be live-streamed across its social media handles on YouTube, Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, and TikTok, as well as on its official website.

The poster released by the brand does not mention the monikers of the devices that will be unveiled on the said date. However, numerous reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro will be announced next. It is speculated that the Redmi Pad tablet and Redmi Buds 4 Pro TWS earbuds may also go official along with the 12T lineup.

Xiaomi 12T specifications (rumoured)

The Xiaomi 12T will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will have a Dimensity 8100 Ultra chipset, LPPDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged quickly with a 120W charger.

On the front, it will have a 20-megapixel selfie camera. Its rear camera setup will feature a 108-megapixel main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The Xiaomi 12T Pro will also house a 6.67-inch AMOLED 120Hz display that offers a 1.5K resolution. It will be the first Xiaomi phone with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 to be released outside China. The SoC will be coupled with LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

It will also feature a 20-megapixel front-facing camera. The back panel of the device will have an OIS-assisted 200-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.

As per our exclusive leak, which was published at the beginning of this month, the Xiaomi 12T will be arrive in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configurations. The Xiaomi 12T Pro, on the other hand, will be made available in 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configurations. Both devices are expected to arrive in Cosmic Black, Lunar Silver, and Clear Blue colourways.

The 12T series will run on the Android 12 OS with the MIUI 13 custom UI on top. The 12T is likely to be priced at €649 in Europe, while the Pro model may cost €849.

The Redmi Pad will arrive with a 10.61-inch LCD panel that offers a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels. The tablet will be powered by the Helio G99 chipset, have up to 4GB of RAM, and an 8,000mAh battery, which will support 22.5W rapid charging.

On the front, the Redmi Pad will have an 8-megapixel camera with a 105-degree FOV, and on the back panel, it will feature an 8-megapixel camera without LED flash. The device will come with up to 128GB of storage and run on the Android 12 OS, which will be overlaid with MIUI 13 for Pad. The Redmi Pad is tipped to start at €250. It is likely to arrive in colours like Graphite Gray, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green.

Redmi Buds 4 Pro specifications (expected)

Since Xiaomi has already launched the Redmi Buds 4 Pro in the Chinese market, all its details are already known. The TWS earbuds will offer key features like a 10mm audio driver, a 6mm tweeter, up to 43dB noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.2, low latency of 59ms, up to 9 hours of battery life without ANC, and up to 36 hours of battery performance with the case.

At present, there is no official word on the India launch of the above products.
