Xiaomi 12X is tipped to launch in India soon, reports 91Mobiles. The publication has revealed the smartphone’s storage and colour variants that it has learned from industry sources.
The Xiaomi 12X debuted recently in China alongside the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. It is the base and affordable model compared to the other two devices. The Xiaomi 12X is also the successor to the Mi 11X (review) that was launched in India earlier this year.

91Mobiles doesn’t reveal the exact launch timeline of the Xiaomi 12X. However, we can expect it to launch in April considering its predecessor was also announced in the same month this year. The report also adds that the Xiaomi 12X will be released in the country in two RAM and storage configurations i.e. 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The smartphone will be offered in Purple, Blue, and Grey colours. It is expected to carry a sub-Rs 40,000 price tag.

The Xiaomi 12X comes with a centre-aligned punch-hole AMOLED display measuring 6.28-inches and featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The smartphone has a rectangular rear camera module comprising a 50MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP telemacro unit. There is a 20MP front-facing selfie shooter.
Internally, the Xiaomi 12X is powered by a Snapdragon 870 SoC coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It is backed by a 4,500mAh battery cell with support for 67W fast charging. Software-wise, the smartphone runs on Android 12 with MIUI 13 skin on top. It will compete with Snapdragon 870-powered smartphones like Realme GT 2 Neo and Motorola Edge 20 Pro that are already available for purchase in India.
