Xiaomi entered the Indian television market last in February last year. The Chinese company disrupted the TV sector by launching several smart TVs in various price segments. Today, Xiaomi announced that it has sold 2 million Mi TVs in India within a span of 14 months. The Mi TVs are sold across online and offline channels in India.
In a press release, Xiaomi says that “Despite their entry into a relatively nascent smart TV industry in India, Xiaomi’s Mi LED TVs have gained massive popularity among millions of consumers and Mi Fans. Upon launch, Mi LED TVs went on to successfully disrupt the market, gathering remarkable momentum for the smart TV industry in India.”
Furthermore, according to a report by IDC Smart Home Device tracker, the company also became the number one smart TV brand in India for three consecutive quarters in a row.
The company currently sells eight Mi TV models in India with features like PatchWall OS, voice search and built-in Chromcast. According to the company, some of its more popular Mi TV models include Mi LED TV 4A Pro 43, Mi LED Smart TV 4A 43, Mi LED TV 4A Pro 32, and Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32.
In other news, as a part of Flipkart’s Big Shopping Days Sale and Mi Super Sale the Mi LED TV 4A Pro 43 and 4 Pro 55 have received a price cut of Rs 4,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. The 4A Pro 43-inch is priced at Rs 21,999 while the 4 Pro 55-inch is available for Rs 44,999.
