Xiaomi’s powerbank lineup has been refreshed with multiple models over the last few years, and now, the brand’s largest capacity powerbank in the Indian market has received a major update in the form of fast charging support.
Xiaomi just announced the Mi Powerbank 2i for India. The device packs in 20,000mAh high-density lithium polymer batteries. With the inclusion of 18W fast charge support, the Mi Powerbank 2i now caters to a wider audience. The company claims that the Mi Powerbank 2i can charge the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Redmi K20 Pro thrice, and the iPhone 8 at least seven times.
The Mi Powerbank 2i supports simultaneous fast charging from its two USB ports. This means that users can fast charge two devices at the same time, provided the smartphones are 18W fast charge compatible. It supports intelligent power output and is universally compatible. Xiaomi claims that it has used ABC + PC for a comfortable grip, along with a sandstone finish on the Powerbank 2i.
The device gets a low charging mode that is activated by pressing the power button twice. This mode can be used to charge Bluetooth devices like fitness bands and wireless headphones. The powerbank features nine layers of circuit protection including short circuit protection, temperature resistance, input and output over-voltage protection, reset mechanism, over-charge and over-discharge protection and PTC protective circuits for the battery cell.
The Mi Powerbank 2i has a microUSB port for charging and an LED indicator for the battery. The device measures 150.6 x 72.3 x 26.3mm. Xiaomi claims that the recharge duration is 6.7 hours via an 18W charger and 10 hours through a 10W charger. The Mi Powerbank 2i is priced at Rs 1,499 and is available in a Sandstone Black colour option.
