Xiaomi Claims to Have Sold 2.3 Million Units of the Redmi Note 3 in India

Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi has achieved yet another milestone in the Indian market and this time with Redmi Note 3. The company is claiming to have sold 2.3 million units in India, thus becoming a bestseller in India. According to the company, one in every nine phone shipped online was a Redmi Note 3, which means Xiaomi sold one Redmi Note 3 every seven seconds.


Xiaomi is celebrating this achievement on its website by letting users to win Redmi Note 3 and goodies by playing a 7-second game. To play this game, users are provided a word around which they have to type out a sentence in seven seconds. Users will get three chances per day to play this game. After all three chances are used up, users can share this game on Facebook to get extra three chances which can be done twice a day.


Redmi Note 3 was launched in March this year with two variants. The one with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage is priced at Rs 9,999 whereas the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at Rs 11,999. The device is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. It sports a 5.5-Inch Full HD IPS display and a whooping 4,000mAh battery. Coming to the camera part, the device features a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Device also features a fingerprint sensor at the back just beneath the camera and flash.
