Xiaomi recently announced that it will be launching a new “CC” smartphone series in China on July 2. The CC series will be a trendy line of phones targeted at young people. Additionally, the company has also shared a few sample shots taken with the smartphone’s selfie camera.

The sample selfies were taken by 9 young ladies working at Xiaomi. As you can see in the samples below, the industry-leading algorithm developed by Xiaomi Meitu AI Beauty Lab ensures the selfies look beautiful and natural at the same time.
Xiaomi Mi CC9 is expected to come with a motorized flip-up camera similar to the one seen on the ASUS ZenFone 6. It is rumored to come equipped with an AMOLED display equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, Mi CC9 might feature a Snapdragon 730 chipset. As far as the optics are concerned, the phone will have a 48MP primary sensor, joined by telephoto and ultra-wide-angle modules.
On the other hand, the Mi CC9e will feature a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch at the top and Full HD+ resolution. Similar to the Mi CC9, the Mi CC9e is also expected to include an in-display fingerprint sensor. Powering the Mi CC9e will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 octa-core processor. On the back of the handset will be a triple-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor. Like the Mi CC9, the Mi CC9e will have a 32MP snapper for selfies on the front. Keeping the lights on will be a large 4000mAh non-removable battery with support for 18W wired fast charging. On the software front, we can expect both phones to ship with Android Pie-based MIUI 10 right out of the box.
