The Helio G90 series is paired with MediaTek’s HyperEngine game technology that tunes the entire smartphone for best gameplay with enhanced image quality, smooth character movement, and reliable network connections. MediaTek reveals that its HyperEngine technology can offer up to 50 percent faster response when compared to other chipsets. The octa-core processors use Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 CPUs paired with Mali-G76 GPU. The Helio G90T SoC can support up to a 90Hz display refresh rate, 10GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64MP primary camera sensor. It will come with Dual Wi-Fi connection that allows a single smartphone to simultaneously connect with two Wi-Fi bands or routers. Additionally, the chipsets will work with a multi-camera framework that supports multiple lens choices. The G90 Series is expected to take on the Snapdragon 730 series processors.

The Xiaomi-backed Black Shark 2 is already available in India but the company is looking to make a gaming-centric device in-house. However, there is no timeline for the launch of the smartphone. There is also no word which phone will be powered by the Helio G90 Series, but it is speculated to be the 8th generation Redmi Note. We expect the smartphone to arrive in the coming months.
