Xiaomi Mi 10 with 108MP quad-cameras launching in India on March 31st

Just yesterday, Xiaomi stirred up a storm on social media by announcing that the much-anticipated Mi 10 series will launch in India soon. The company MD, Manu Kumar Jain has been hinting at the imminent arrival of the Mi 10 series in the country for a while now. Yesterday, the official Twitter handle of Xiaomi changed from ‘#108MPiscoming’ to ‘#108MPishere’, which was also shared by Amazon India confirming that the smartphone will be available on the e-commerce platform, whenever it goes official. Now, the brand has gone ahead and announced the launch date of the smartphone as well as the pre-order schedule of the upcoming smartphone.

Xiaomi Mi 10 India launch date and availability

The company has taken to Twitter to announce that it will launch the Mi 10 on March 31st at 12.30pm. According to the tweet, Xiaomi will live stream the launch event across its social media handles. Moreover, the tweet also confirms that only the base Mi 10 5G variant will be coming to the country and the Pro variant will be skipped. This makes sense considering that the Pro variant shares all its specs with the base variant except for a different set of cameras accompanying the primary 108MP shooter. Lastly, Xiaomi has confirmed that the pre-orders for the Mi 10 will start on the same day at 3pm.

Xiaomi Mi 10 specifications

The Xiaomi Mi 10 ships with a 6.67-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display featuring a high refresh rate of 90Hz. The flagship device gets Qualcomm’s flagship processor called Snapdragon 865 and is being offered with up to 12GB of LDDR5 RAM. Notably, the Xiaomi Mi 10 is the first in the world to use the new RAM technology. The smartphone is being offered in  8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB in China, however, the company has not announced which of these will come to India. In the camera department, the smartphone boasts of a 108MP + 13MP + 2MP + 2MP setup on the back and a 20MP selfie shooter. Lastly, the handset boots Android 10-based MIUI 11 and is powered by a 4,780mAh battery with 30 watts fast charging support.

Xiaomi is yet to announce the pricing of the Mi 10 flagship in India, but we will get to know soon. Manu Kumar Jain did hint in the past that the flagship will be priced higher than China when it comes to India.
