India is currently on a 21-day nation-wide lockdown as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. The lockdown is scheduled to end on April 14th, as of now. Various smartphone brands have started postponing their upcoming launch events. The Vivo V19 and Realme Narzo 10 series were scheduled to debut on March 26th, and both these events have been postponed. Last week, Xiaomi had revealed that it will be announcing the Xiaomi Mi 10 flagship phone on March 31st in India. Today, the Chinese firm confirmed that it has postponed the unveiling of Mi 10 in India due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Xiaomi is yet to reveal the revised launch date for the Mi 10 smartphone. The company will be confirm a new date for its new flagship after evaluating the situation in the country. Xiaomi had launched the Mi 10 series in China in February. While the series includes the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro models, India was supposed to receive only the vanilla variant. The phone is expected to sell through Amazon India in the country.
Xiaomi Mi 10 specifications and features
The Xiaomi Mi 10 is a 5G phone driven by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. The device is fitted with a 6.67-inch S-AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor and a punch-hole for its 20-megapixel front camera.
The rear-mounted camera system of the Mi 10 comprises of a 108-megapixel primary lens with OIS, a 13-megapixel ultrawide shooter, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The handset houses a 4,780mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging, 30W fast wireless charging and 5W reverse charging. However, it lacks support for microSD cards lot and 3.5mm audio jack.
