Xiaomi Mi 10 with Snapdragon 865 and 108MP camera launched in India: price, specifications

The Xiaomi Mi 10 was probably one of the most anticipated flagship launches following the OnePlus 8 series launch. The smartphone comes in as only the second launch flaunting a 108-megapixel sensor in India after the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, which was launched back in February. The latest flagship from Xiaomi sports a Snapdragon 865 SoC, 5G connectivity, high refresh rate curved display and more.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 was scheduled to launch in India on March 31st, but the event was cancelled indefinitely due to the coronavirus lockdown. Now, since online deliveries have been allowed by the government in safe zones, Xiaomi has gone ahead and launched the much-awaited Mi 10 flagship in the country along with Mi Box 4K and Mi True Wireless Earphones 2.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 ships with a 6.67-inch E3 AMOLED full HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, 180Hz touch sampling rate and HDR10+. The top-of-the-line smartphone from the brand comes with the flagship Qualcomm chipset, Snapdragon 865 with support for 5G and Wi-Fi 6. The smartphone is also among the world’s first to ship with LDDR5 RAM. Xiaomi is offering the handset with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. In the software department, the Mi 10 boots the Android 10-based MIUI 11 and should receive MIUI 12 soon.

In the camera department, the phone rocks a 108-megapixel f/1.7 primary camera backed by a 13-megapixel f/2.4 ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The punch-hole cutout on the front contains a 20-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera on the flagship smartphone is also capable of recording 8K videos and has a pro video mode. The camera app is loaded with features like Night Mode 2.0, Portrait Mode 2.0 and AI 2.0 for scene recognition.

Powering the flagship device is a 4,780mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. The battery also supports 30W wireless charging, which can charge up to 100 percent in 65 minutes. The Xiaomi Mi 10 can also reverse wireless charge other devices at 10W. As for the security, the Xiaomi Mi 10 offers an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 is being offered in India in Coral Green and Twilight Grey colours. The smartphone will be available from Amazon India and The 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants will set you back by Rs 49,999 and Rs 54,999, respectively. The device goes up for pre-booking at 2pm starting today and early buyers will receive a complimentary Mi Wireless power bank with the phone.
