Xiaomi Mi 11 with 120Hz QHD+ display, Snapdragon 888 launched: price, specifications

The Xiaomi Mi 11 has launched in China. It has arrived as the successor to the Xiaomi Mi 10 that went official in February this year. The Mi 11 has debuted as the world’s first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 888 5G mobile platform.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 is fully loaded with top-notch specs. It is the first flagship phone from the brand to feature a 120Hz refresh rate display. It comes with a triple camera setup that features the latest 108-megapixel HM2 lens by Samsung. It comes with 55W fast charging technology for its large-sized battery.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 features a four-sided curved screen that measures 6.81 inches. The S-AMOLED E4 display offers a 1,400 x 3,200 pixels quad HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, 1500nits brightness, a 5000000:1 contrast ratio, 10-bit color, HDR10+, and 515ppi pixel density. The company revealed that it features the most expensive screen ever seen on a smartphone. The punch-hole display is integrated with a fingerprint reader and it is shielded by Gorilla Glass 7.

The Snapdragon 888 is coupled with an enhanced version of the LPPDR5 RAM that works at 6400Mnps. The device comes with UFS 3.1 storage and lacks support for external storage. According to Xiaomi, the Mi 11 scored 745K+ on AnTuTu benchmarks. The handset boots MIUI 12 based on Android 11. It will be one of the first phones to be treated with the latest MIUI 12.4

The Mi 11 draws power from a 4,600mAh battery, which comes with 55W fast wired charging, 50W rapid wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The company claimed that it takes 45 minutes to fully charge the Mi 11 through the wireless charging technology.

The back panel of the Xiaomi Mi 11 has a square-shaped camera module that features an OIS assisted 108-megapixel main camera with 1/1.33-inch sensor size, f/1.85 aperture, and 7P lens. It is coupled with a 123-degree 13-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 5-megapixel telephoto macro lens with autofocus and 50mm focal length support. A front camera is a 20-megapixel unit.

For immersive audio experience, the Xiaomi Mi 11 features Harmon Kardon powered stereo speakers. When it comes to connectivity, it comes with dual SIM support, 5G, enhanced Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C. Lastly, the fingerprint sensor of the Mi 11 doubles a heart rate tracker.

The Xiaomi MI 11 has arrived in three variants such as 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. These variants are priced at RMB 3,999 (~Rs 45,000), RMB 4,299 (~Rs 48,400), and RMB 4,699 (~Rs 52,900). It comes in colours like Khaki (vegetarian leather) Smoke Purple (plain leather), black, white, blue, and a special Signature Edition wtih scodix crystal textured rear signed by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. The Mi 11 will go on sale in China from January 1st.

The company is yet to confirm the availability of the Xiaomi Mi 11 outside of China. The smartphone comes in two package versions. To protect the environment, the standard package does not include a charger whereas the other one comes with a 55W charger. Both carry the same price tag.
