Earlier in February this year, Xiaomi had launched the flagship Mi 10 series in China. The lineup consisted of a standard and Pro variant out of which only the latter arrived in India. Now the Chinese brand has revealed the launch date of the Mi 10’s successor.

As per the announcement on microblogging platform Weibo, Xiaomi will launch the Mi 11 on December 28th. While the device is confirmed, it’s unknown if the Pro variant will also debut at the same event.
As per the Weibo poster, the Xiaomi Mi 11’s launch is scheduled on December 28th at 7:30 pm local time which translates to 5:00 pm IST. Details about the upcoming Mi 11 are currently under the wraps. Soon after Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 announcement, Xiaomi revealed that it will be the first brand to launch a smartphone with the latest flagship processor.
So it’s a possibility that the Mi 11 could debut as a Snapdragon 888-powered device. It’s just a matter of one week till the smartphone goes official where we will know more details including specifications and pricing.
Xiaomi Mi 11 expected specifications
The Mi 11 was reportedly spotted on Geekbench benchmarking website with the model number Xiaomi M2011K2C. The listing revealed some key specifications of the smartphone. It is powered by ‘Venus’ chipset which is the codename for Snapdragon 888. The smartphone will pack 12GB RAM and run on Android 11 OS. The Mi 11 scored 1,135 points in the single-core test and 3,642 points in the multi-core test.
The Mi 11’s appearance on 3C site revealed that the smartphone may be backed by a 4,780mAh battery unit with support for 55W fast charging. The smartphone is rumoured to feature a punch-hole display with a curved screen bearing QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Leaked renders of the Mi 11 reveal a square-shaped triple camera module. The smartphone is expected to come with a 108MP primary sensor, 13MP ultrawide unit and a 5MP macro shooter.
