The Mi 9t is rumoured to be the rebranded version of the recently launched Redmi K20 (outside China) or it might be a slightly tweaked variant of Mi 9. According to the teasers, the Mi 9T will not have any notch and will sport a pop-up camera mechanism. The image also reveals a triple rear camera setup. There is no rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, so we can expect an in-display fingerprint scanner on the device. A new teaser by Xiaomi also confirms that the phone will ship with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Mi 9T will have the same specs as the Redmi K20 if the rumours about it being the same device are true. The upcoming smartphone should have a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. The device will sport a 20MP selfie shooter and a triple rear camera comprising of 48MP+8MP+13MP sensors. A 4,000mAh battery unit with 18W fast charging support completes the list of specs. There are no details regarding the RAM and storage variants.
Considering the past records, the Mi 9T may not make its way to India. Plus, the company has already confirmed the launch of the Redmi K20 series in India in the coming weeks. In other news, Xiaomi’s accessory subsidiary is also conducting an event on June 11th where the company will be announcing Mi Band 4 and other Mi ecosystem products.
