The Mi 9T sports a fullscreen FHD+ AMOLED display measuring 6.39-inches. There is a pop-up front camera module on the top edge, and the device offers a 91.9 percent screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner, eye protection mode, and DC dimming. The Mi 9T can be availed in three colour options – Carbon Black, Glacier Blue and Flame Red.
On the optics front, the Mi 9T is equipped with a triple camera setup. The module comprises of a main 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, 13MP superwide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. Up front, there is a 20MP selfie snapper which is also capable of shooting wide-angle shots. The device offers a host of camera features and modes like AI face recognition, AI studio light effects, handheld super night scene, and 960 fps slow-mo recording.
Coming to the hardware, the Mi 9T is powered by a Snapdragon 730 chipset. It is paired with 6GB RAM. The device is offered in two storage options of 64GB and 128GB. However, there is no support for microSD card so users cannot upgrade the storage. The Mi 9T is backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging. The device runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. There is a GameTurbo feature that accelerates gaming performance.
Connectivity-wise, the Mi 9T comes with dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, USB-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Pricing & Availability:
The base storage variant of Mi 9T i.e. 6GB+64GB is priced at €329 (~Rs 25,850) while the 128GB model costs €369 (~Rs 28,996). The device has been offered at a promotional price of €299 (~Rs 23,468) through its website and will go on sale on June 17th.
It’s highly unlikely that the Mi 9T series will arrive in India, considering the Redmi K20 series will be launched in the country next month.
